Residential and commercial building in 89 Cara Dušana street is planned to have floors Po+P+3, (basement, ground floor and three floors). The newly designed building is part of the urban complex, which is defined as an uninterrupted series of buildings. Due to this fact, the architectural expression is limited to the southern and northern facades. The east and west facades are treated as calcanic sides of the building. In the impossibility of preserving the existing stylistic building within the existing dimensions primarily due to new urban conditions, general regulations (unbroken line), and the movement of the building line, its southern facade was cited and incorporated into the new building. In accordance with the need to preserve the memory of the stylistic period of the existing building, in new circumstances, part of its authentic ground floor was interpolated on the facade of the ground floor of the new building. Accordingly, the existing street facade was interpolated onto the new one, and in everything according to the new functional requirements. This is done by repeating the architectural plastic. The functional solution also respected the historical context of the existing building by defining the pedestrian access to the residential and commercial building at the place of the old gate of the existing building, on the southwest side of the building. On the southeast side of the building, there is a symmetrically defined vehicular access to the underground garage.
