The designer of the building “Nišava Palace” is Grigorije Samoilov, one of several Russian architects who significantly contributed to the architecture of Niš. Since single-story houses and one-story houses were predominant in the city at that time, buildings of this type were called palaces. The owner called this corner residential building “Nišava”, and it is still a landmark of the inner city today. The building uses the usual facade design language, which according to some is called “Belgrade modern” or “modernized classicism”. The change of rhythm and monumentality is achieved by the powerful frames of circular windows, in relation to rectangular ones, the verticality of the stairwell and deep joints on the facade fabric. The angular position is successfully emphasized by the indentation in relation to the side wings, and the side balconies are positioned and dimensioned with measure.
