Hotel within the “Novi Niš” complex

The disposition of the buildings of the entire business zone is such that buildings No.33-35 form the central business zone on the northern side, to which the shopping center – No. 36 on the south side, separated by an internal service road. Due to the high number of floors, the orientation of the dominant volumes of the buildings is in the northeast-southwest direction, which achieved favorable and even insolation and ventilation of the block. The lower floors (ground floor+2 mezzanine) are designed on a wider irregular base, but in such a way as to form an external space, a simple square form with a water surface in the middle. The design of the building is in accordance with the purpose of the building and the loose form of the base of the lower floors, which are transformed into a regular emphasized geometry. In order to avoid the effect of a simplified rectangular base, higher floors, typical for this type of building, the building is playful in depth from all sides, in accordance with the function. Glazed surfaces in contrast with solid elements emphasize verticality.
